Course Inspiration
MONIQUE ROSE
Monique created this course to ignite a deeper love for opera—an art form that, though often seen as niche, pulses with the raw essence of what it means to be human. Opera doesn’t just entertain; it transcends. It reveals our fears, our desires, our deepest truths—it is, in many ways, the emotional DNA of humanity. For Monique, opera is a living, breathing testament to imagination and the enduring power of storytelling. Her journey began in the regional Lithgow, echoing through Bathurst and Orange, where a passionate community gave her the foundation to dream. This course is her way of giving back, to open the door for others to discover the world of opera that has given her so much. Opera is not just sound and spectacle. It is love, grief, triumph, and longing set to music. It is the thunder of the orchestra, the stillness of a breath before a high note, the invisible thread that binds artist and audience in shared wonder. Behind the scenes, it demands discipline and unity; onstage, it delivers magic. It invites us to imagine more, feel more, and remember what it means to be human. Monique believes everyone deserves the opportunity to step into that world.
